Melbourne to boast new Ritz-Carlton hotel
Victoria will soon be home to a new Ritz-Carlton hotel with construction commencing in Melbourne later this year.
Located at 250 Spencer Street, the site stands adjacent to Southern Cross Station, is a brief walk from Etihad Stadium and the Supreme Court of Victoria and also a short drive from Docklands, Parliament House and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Offering guests 250 rooms and residing in the top floors of a new 79-storey tower, the Ritz-Carlton Melbourne will take the title as Australia’s tallest hotel, but will share the tower’s lower floors with other residential developments.
Ritz-Carlton will also open a new hotel in Perth come 2018, close to the city’s own Convention and Exhibition centre for business travellers who can take advantage of the property’s waterfront location at Elizabeth Quay during their downtime:
Travellers in both cities can earn hotel loyalty points or frequent flyer points through The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Marriott Rewards, while Silver, Gold and Platinum members of both programs enjoy privileges such as late check-outs and free room upgrades.
